Welcome to Gallery Dash. Your privacy matters. This policy explains what we collect, how we use it, and the choices you have.

Offline-first & on-device processing: Gallery Dash works offline. Your photos stay on your device and are not uploaded to our servers (or any third-party servers) as part of the app’s core photo-sorting experience.

1) Who we are

2) What data we collect

Gallery Dash is designed to help you sort your photo library while minimizing data collection.

Photos and videos: Gallery Dash accesses your Photos library only with your permission. Photos remain on your device and are not transmitted to us or to third parties for sorting.
App usage & diagnostics (optional analytics): limited technical data such as app version, OS version, and basic engagement events to help improve performance and usability.
Support communications: if you email us, we receive the information you choose to share in your message.

We do not collect precise location, your contacts, or your device files.

We do not sell personal data. We do not share your content with advertisers.

3) How we use your data

To provide and maintain the app.
To improve Gallery Dash (fix issues, understand what features are used, and improve performance).
To communicate with you when you contact support.
To protect against abuse, fraud, and security threats.

Legal bases (GDPR): performance of a contract (providing the app), legitimate interests (app improvement and security), and consent where required (e.g., certain analytics where applicable).

4) How we store and process data

Photo data stays on your device: Gallery Dash does not upload your photos to our servers for sorting. Any actions you take (for example, deleting photos) are performed through Apple’s Photos framework on your device.

Where we use third-party service providers (for example, for crash reporting or analytics), they process information only on our instructions and under contractual obligations designed to protect it.

Data is encrypted in transit (TLS/HTTPS), and security controls are used to protect access to stored data.

5) Sharing your data

Service providers: we may share limited technical data with providers used to operate and improve the app (e.g., crash reporting / analytics). They may not use your data for their own purposes.
Legal requirements: we may disclose information if required to comply with applicable law or valid legal process.

We do not sell personal information and we do not share your data with advertising networks.

6) Your choices & controls

Photos permission: you control access in iOS Settings, including enabling, limiting, or revoking Photos access.
Manage your content: Gallery Dash works with your iOS Photos library, and you stay in control of actions you confirm.
Analytics choices: if analytics are enabled, you may be able to opt out via your device settings (where applicable).

7) Data retention

We keep data only as long as needed for the purposes described above, unless a longer retention period is required by law. Support emails are retained as needed to handle requests and maintain records.

8) Security

We use reasonable safeguards and encrypted connections (HTTPS). No online service can guarantee absolute security, but we work hard to protect information. We do not use automated decision-making or profiling.

9) Children’s privacy

Gallery Dash is not intended for children under 13 to use without a parent or guardian. We do not knowingly collect personal data directly from children under 13. If you believe a child provided information without permission, contact us and we will remove it.

10) International transfers

Our providers may process data in multiple countries. When data is transferred, we rely on appropriate safeguards (such as standard contractual clauses) as required by law.

11) Cookies & anti-abuse

Our website may use essential cookies and security measures to protect forms and prevent spam and abuse. These technologies are used for security and reliability purposes, not for advertising.

GDPR (EU/EEA): you can lodge a complaint with your local supervisory authority.
CCPA/CPRA (California): we do not sell personal information. California residents may request access or deletion by emailing us.
